To the Rooftop!

Today is the anniversary of the Beatles last concert,
on the rooftop! Everyone who is a Beatles fan knows about it
is even featured on the Beatles Rockband Wii Game!
I could write down a lot of facts about this great day, but i'm
not going to. Because i think i should let these photos, taken
on that day, do the talking.

A Beatles Fan Interview With Donovan Day

Donovan Day is a Beatles fan and author of his new book
'GET BACK'.  I'm not going to give away the story line,
but it is a great book, including time travel, girls, guitars
and much more. But seriously I would suggest you give it a
read. So after reading his book I asked him a few questions.
When did you start writing your book?
A couple of years ago. I had a dream that I was jamming with
The Beatles and they knew I was from the future. They had
lots of questions for me but then John asked, "What happens to
me?" I couldn't answer and he kept asking and asking, shaking
me. That's when I woke up but it was so vivid, I used
that dream (No. 9?) as the basis for the book.
John Lennon is of course the main Beatle in your book,
but is he your favourite?
I'd have to say it's a tie between John and Paul. They were
so perfect for each other. Looking back, I think I favor more
of John's songs, but only because Paul was so melodic that
some of his songs have been overplayed.
Would you ever write a follow-up story to this one?
I don't think so, but never say never, right?

How much of a Beatles fan actually are you?

Huge. I've read about them extensively and also listened
to all their songs since I was young. But I've never been
to Liverpool like a lot of fans. Maybe someday!
Would you hope Paul or Ringo would read this book,
and do you think they would enjoy it?
I would love for them to read it. Would they enjoy it?
Tough for me to say. They might be tired of the endless
Beatles books, although this one is fiction so maybe...
I think Paul would like it!
Lennon had mentioned he would have liked to have
been picked up by a UFO, so do you
think if he had access to a time machine he would use it?
Absolutely!!! He'd use it in a sec. I think anyone would.
Certainly, he'd want to spend more time with his mother
and maybe, just maybe, prevent her death. She was killed
in a traffic accident as I recall.
Would you like to see your book turned into a film?
Yes!! I would love that and I think it would make a
very cool movie. Thanks for asking!

the book is for sale on Amazon at the following link!

Famous Drop Outs!

This post might seem very very random but i was reading up
on this the other day and just thought i'd share it.
Who ever knew icons like David Bowie and Ringo Starr were
School drop outs. That's right everybody on this list was a
school drop out!
Marilyn Monroe
Married her boyfriend and dropped out of high school
at the age of 16
Arnold Schwarzenegger
dropped out of high school to become a body builder
and is now the governor of California..... and he never finished
high school!
Jude Law
dropped out of high school to become an actor.
Frank Sinatra and David Bowie
were also school drop outs!
Marlon Brando
Dropped out of high school and moved to New York
Jim Carrey
was a top class student in school but he dropped out also
to help his family pay the bills and got a job.
Before becoming a house hold name WORLD WIDE!
Walt Disney and Clark Gable
both dropped out of high school at the age of 16
And i think that they both made pretty good names for
themselves didn't they.
Prince and Kurt Cobain
These two rock star performers never finished high school
either... but Im not sure that Prince would have fitted in
well in school anyways?
Pierce Brosnan
Thats right JAMES BOND didn't finish high school!
Can you believe it, and look how famous he is, and dont
forget Mama Mia the musical!
Michael J. Fox and  John Travolta
Were two more actors that dropped out. And come on
they are massive stars... who hasn't watched Back to the Future
and who hasn't seen Grease!
Ozzy Osbourne  and Ray Charles
were never fans of  school so they also dropped out!
Steven Tyler, Boy George and Cher
Are three more artist who all never finished school!
Can you believe it? And even Beatles didn't finish school!
George Harrison and Ringo Starr
Thats right they didn't finish school and Ringo dropped out
at 15! And they were half of the biggest greatest band ever!
Tom Cruise
dropped out of high school to pursue an  acting career in
New York.
Robert Downey Jr.
Is another Celeb that dropped out of school and made his
move to New York to try and make it as an actor....
ever heard of him? lol
Simon Cowell and Billy Joel
dropped out of high school to pursue their dreams,
and now Billy Joel is known world wide and Simon
Cowell has been called KING OF SATURDAY NIGHT TV!
Al Pacino
didn't recieve good grades in high school and
he dropped out to follow his dreams of being an actor.
Princess Diana
wasn't a good student and she dropped out of high school
at age 16. And she was the Princess of England!
Robert De Niro, Johnny Depp, Nicolas Cage
and Whoopi Goldberg
Are four Amazingly talented actors... and none of
them finished school!
And finally talent singer and drummer Phil Collins
dropped out of high school at 17!
Now i'd just like to state i am not in anyway saying that
their fame is linked to dropping out of school,
and i'm not telling anyone to drop out of school.
I just wanted to post this to show you that if you are worried
about getting good grades, if you get bullied for not
being as smart as your friends, just know it doesn't really
matter if what grades you get AS LONG as you have a dream!
School is a very small part of your life, your future and your
happiness means a lot more. So follow you heart, Follow your
dreams. And hopefully one day you will be in the magazine
and living the life of your dreams!

Art is coming to an END!

Let's be honest, who doesn't have some art in their
home? Everyone owns a canvas or a framed bit of
art. But how many of you know the artist who designed it?
I bet most of you couldn't answer..... and I would bet that you
bought them from a store and they are mass produced! It is
thanks to mass produced art being so cheap that real artists have
to try harder and harder to make a living. Who
will pay a caricature artist £15 for a caricature of
their favorite celeb, drawn just for them, when they
can go on ebay and buy a print of a caricature of that same
person for half the price? The reason these places
sell these things so cheap is because they take no
time to produce:press a button and print them
out en masse. Whereas a real artist would have to factor in
the cost of the pens/paint that it takes to make the art. It's the sad
truth that slowly original art is dying.

It is Beatle related... Really!

What is beatlemania without Beatle FANS? Its just
great music, But like the screaming girls or not,
they were a massive part of the concerts, often meaning
you went to their concerts and heard them a lot
more then any of the fab four on stage. But these days
the screaming fan girls might have grown up had
families of their own and found a way to control
their screams when they see a rock star....
But there are still fans there of course.
And i am very very very lucky to have a girlfriend
who is a BEATLEMANIAC! She is great. She loves
the beatles, and John is her favorite.
Not only is she mine and not only is she a beatle fan
but she really caring and beautiful to.
Its hard to get away from the fact she loves the
same band i do. If its her t-shirts she wears or
the video calls between us both, seeing her in her
room covered in beatles posters...It's just great.
And i wanted to make this totally random blog
to show her how much she means to me and how
i think she the most perfect girl ever put on this
earth! I hope she never ever doubts how i feel
about her. She has been there for me for 2 and
a half years (or there abouts) and she helped
me so much last year in what was the most hardest
and terrible year of my life. So thank you Celeste,
Thank you for being YOU!

YOUTUBE VS THE BEATLES

I'm sure that most of you would have seen that you can no
longer listen to most beatles songs on youtube, unless they
are some useless cover version by an unknown artist on a
webcam. So now the only places you can  listen to their music is
on some streaming sites where you have to pay membership!
Why i think this is a bad idea is.... ALOT of people (the younger
generation) discovered the beatles thanks to youtube.
Now thats all over, an i wonder how it will impact music?
How is it fair you can access every justin bieber song and
every song by one direction on youtube but you cant get THE
BEATLES! The best band in history! This is just wrong.

New Framed Beatles pictures

So yesterday i went to PoundLand and brought these
lovely vintage style frames and i printed out these photos
today. The first one i got off of google or facebook a while ago.
But the other second one i created myself.  Being an artist
means i can make whatever i want for my room for much much
cheaper then i could ever buy it for. Sorry i haven't been posting
much but i PROMISE i will try and post more, its just been
very busy for me lately.

Yell-A-Phone!

There you go, for all those people that thought
that the screams at the beatles concerts were not loud enough..
they actually sold this little bit of kit at the concerts so you
could make your screams that little bit louder!
But sadly most of the were smashed on concert floors so
they are very rare indeed! But i'd still love one. Just to see
how well they actually work!

Firepits Come to Life!

If its bringing a battle battle between Waring fire breathing
dragons.

Or a night time forest scene of deer. The Firepit Company
in Suffolk has something for everyone, with this amazing
art they create for your garden! They are custom made and
truly amazing. And prices only start from £949 for something
that you will be able to use and enjoy for years and years.

They even designed one that featured the beatles! And that's
enough to make me love this!
Please check out there website at the link below and order
yourself a real work of art for your garden.

Cartoon World

Now my little Celeste loves her cartoons, and especially Disney.
So when i saw these i thought of her and thought she would
love them. But i doubt i could actually build the, they are
fare to impressive. But imagine having one of these cool cartoon
tree houses in your garden! How great would that be!

R.I.P David Bowie

I was woken today by Celeste telling me she heard
about the passing of music icon David Bowie, as i was
not aware that he was unwell i first jumped onto google
to check... and see if it was a hoax, sadly it wasn't.
As an artist i instantly started working on a piece to
celebrate the life of one of musics most recognizable
faces. It took me about half an hour to come up with
this drawing pictured below.
I don't know when i'll get a chance to actually work
on finishing it off and adding color. I will probably
lock i up in my sketches book and work on it sometime
later in the month.
I am sure that everyone has heard at least one David Bowie
song. And i am also sure that his death has had an effect
on most people and every music lover world wide.
He died just days after his NEW album went on sale.
In his new single Lazarus (released last friday)
he sings the following lines:
"Look at me up here, I'm in heaven,
I got scars that can't be seen"
R.I.P DAVID BOWIE

Sunday 10 January 2016

Monday's on its way!

Its Sunday evening and that mean that for most people, apart
from those who are lucky enough to not have to work, that
tomorrow you will be going to work, or school or doing something
just as sinfully boring. So here i am to make your days more
happy with 'help' from the Beatles of course!
So check out these funny beatles photos!

Searching for the Jacket

Above is a picture of john during the 'Rain' music video shoot.
Now ever since watching this many many years ago i have
always wondered , is the jacket john is wearing the same one
he wore along with the other Beatles wore at their Budokan
concert in 1966? And i have been looking everywhere for
some background on this! The jacket looks nearly identical.
And but the rain one has grey on it. And the other one has
green..... did john get it altered or is it a different jacket?

Anyone who is familiar with this page would have seen my

into The Beatles would have heard of Ivor davis.
Well now i am please to share the newest video from Lenn,
and its an interview with Ivor.
I am sure you will enjoy it, as have i.
