Tony Barrow

This year as seen its share of celebrity deaths,
and its always sad when someone connected to the beatles
passes away.
But sadly i have just read about the passing of  Tony Barrow.
He worked for Decca in the early days  and wrote te liner notes
that were on the back of the LP covers. He then started working
for Epstein at NEMS when he promised to double his salary
that he was getting at Decca. It was his idea to send out beatles
Christmas greetings.
He traveled the world with the fab four in 65 and 66.
Conducting there regular press conferences, as they became
more and more frequent whenever they were on the road.
And setting up photo shoots for the boys when they returned
home from their punishing touring.
It was him who compiled and edited the Magical Mystery
Tour's cartoon strip style story booklet that came with the
Album.
R.I.P Tony Barrow.

For all to see.

Every Beatles fan has something of the fab four
around their house.  But here are some things
that Beatles fans have got, that aren't so small that
you can fit them on your bedroom set of drawers.
There are surprisingly a large number of cars dedicated
to The Beatles.
Some are just paintings and decals and
then some like the car above, what have been modified
to look like the yellow submarine.
Some people must have gone to the trouble of getting them
printed specially to put on their cars.
This is what i want most , i do however not have the
room for a 10 foot cartoon Lennon!

Beatles Fans

I love anything to do with  the Beatles but lately
i am really liking Beatle fan pics from their touring
days. The passion in the fans faces tells a million
stories. I know there are billions of Beatle fans
around the world today but i wonder how many of
them would act like this now?
I like to imagine stories about each of them,
if they got to meet the Beatles, if they spent
time with them, or how long it took them to
make their signs, and all so on.
