Today is the 50th anniversary of the release of REVOLVER
by The Beatles. The album sounds as fresh today as it ever did,
and i often listen to this, great album while studying the
wonderful cover art.
Here are some facts about the album:
Revolver is the 7th Beatles album and it spent 34 weeks in the
UK charts. And it stayed at the number one spot for 7 of
those weeks. It included backwards recording and a string
octet. The sessions for the album resulted in the invention of
Automatic double tracking that then went on to be used in
by many in the whole recording industry.
