Pure McCartney!

This is the new album cover for Paul McCartney's
New album. I love the album cover, Very artistic.
I am guessing, due to the video clues, and due to this
album cover, it will be a greatest hits style album?
Either way who wont want to buy this, But i really hope
they release it on Vinyl as well are on CD.

Its a Mystery

Going by the view count, by now most people have seen
the videos Paul McCartney has posted on his social media
accounts. A montage video of his songs, and there is alot of
talk what this might be about but in my eyes its something
like this: Paul is about to release another album, and i have
heard stories of a new album called 'Pure McCartney' But
we will soon see what this is all about i'm sure.

SGT PEPPER IS 49!

Can you believe it?
I can't how is it possible that one of the greatest
albums ever is 49 years old today! Well actually
the album isn't but the album cover is.
Today in 1967 the Beatles put on those lovely jackets
and took to the stage (or band stand) to have their
photos taken, along with a bucket full of
cut out characters from history and funeral
flowers. It was today in 1967 that the Beatles
went to Michael Cooper's London Photographic
Studio where the cover photographs were taken.
The studio was based at 4 Chelsea Manor Studios
1-11 Flood Street. It had taken 8 days to put together
the album cover, before the beatles arrived.
It was designed by Peter Blake and his wife Jann
Haworth, at a cost of £625 for the hire of the studio
and three assistants and so on. And then fee's of
over another £800 in all.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to one and all,
may it be full of everything you love.
Have fun and eat a lot of chocolate.
(unless like me you cant have chocolate,
then eat lots of candy)

The Beatles In Bournemouth

The Beatles played more shows at Bournemouth Gaumont than
any other UK theatre outside London, So there are a few
connections between the famous band and the seaside town.
John Lennon even brought his Aunt Mimi a home in the now
millionaire neighborhood of Sandbanks, near to bournemouth.
And remember that famous half shadow photo the Beatles had
on their 'with the Beatles' album cover? That was taken by
photographer Robert Freeman in the restaurant at the Palace
Court Hotel in Westover Road. The hotel is still there and
is now owned by Premier Inn, The Beatles stayed there for a
whole week in August in 1963. There are a few photos here,
that i will show that are linked with this. But there is one
that i cant find but used to have on my laptop. Its a
beautiful black and white photo of John Lennon on a deck chair
On Bournemouth's beautiful Beach, tucking into some fish and
chips. (A favorite meal of all the Beatles)

Guitar Art

So a week ago a friend of mine called Steve,
came to me with the idea of making a guitar
out of an old pallet. This is what he came up with.
So thanks for that.
Then i went home and painted it. Three
coats of paints and then the writing all painted on,
then i beat it up to make it look old.

I even used the outside cut, or as i like to call it.
The guitar door! lol

with thanks to Steve Deane for the guitar shape.

MAKE LOVE, NOT WAR!

It is terrible again that terror attacks
cover the news papers. It seems to be happening
more and more. Maybe if we take a line From
John Lennon's song imagine "Imagine all the people
Living life in peace" instead of all the big
shots trying to win the top "Trump" card....
we would be more united. Not united in war,
but united in peace, in harmony,
This world is a beautiful place,
made by love. But man is
tearing this beautiful place apart one
day at a time. No one in this world is better
or superior to anyone else. A white man or a brown
man. yellow, or red. We are all one. and need
to come together join hand in hand and realize if
this world got along we would be in a better place,
NO WAR, NO HATE. I know a lot of people believe it
could never happen. And believe you need war, but we
don't, love is all you need. and i truly believe that. I wish
that LOVE and PEACE would be on the front covers
of the papers, not another terrible event. All that
matters in this world is how you treat people and
animals, That is what makes you as a human, not
your color or religion. Spread Love and Peace! It
can happen and now with the help of social networks
it is even easier to get the message to everyone.
One day we will have love and peace! You may
say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one.
I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will
live as one.

I'm Sorry

I am not getting on here much at all lately.
I have been very busy and then i came down with a
terrible flu. But now i am back on the mend and i will be
posting more and more. I want to get back to posting
nearly everyday. I still am getting a lot of views and dont
want to let anyone down. So i am back in business.
Sorry for not posting much.

Bootleg Beatles LIVE

For all those that so badly want to see the Beatles live,
but no longer can, there is a tribute band that is better the
the rest of them. Last Wednesday i went to a Bootleg Beatles
Concert In Bournemouth. I have watched them on youtube,
so can a pretty good idea as to what to expect. But what i
witnessed was beyond what i could ever have expected.
I could not take my eyes off the stage for a single second.
The likeness to all Beatles, both in looks and in sound
was breath taking and spot on.
Going from the very early days till the 'Let It Be' era the
costumes and instruments were perfect. Anyone who wants
to see a tribute band, should go and check them out, you
will love every music fun packed minute of their show.
I wish i could go and see them again soon, but i
think i'll have to wait till the next time they are
in Bournemouth.
Being a Beatles mega fan and an even bigger Lennon fan
i am the first to pick wholes in beatles tribute acts.
But i cant fault them. They were spot on perfection.

(I do now own these photos, all photos are from facebook)
